September – EXIAR’s first foreign representative office opened in Minsk, Belarus.
EXIAR’s delegation – headed by CEO Alexey Tyupanov – participated in the 2015 Eastern Economic Forum.
EXIAR provided insurance coverage for exports to Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Belarus, and Uzbekistan.
August – the Agency’s first interactive annual report was released.
A cooperation agreement with Expobank was concluded in order to launch a joint working capital financing program for small- and medium-sized business.
The Agency insured exports to Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Belarus.
July - EXIAR participated in the International Industry Trade Fair INNOPROM-2015 as both a partner and exhibiter. At the trade fair, EXIAR signed a cooperation agreement with the Sverdlovsk Regional Government and conducted a round-table discussion entitled “Developing Exports from Medium-Sized and Large Companies”.
The Agency insured exports to Belarus, Lithuania, Armenia, Finland, Moldova, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Bulgaria, and Turkey. Export operations to countries in Asia and Africa were insured in conjunction with Bank Saint Petersburg.
June - EXIAR hosted “Made in Russia Day” in conjunction with the “Made in Russia” project. The day was dedicated to launching a national “Made in Russia” brand to promote Russian exports in foreign markets. First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov participated. Events were held at the Russian Pavilion during the Universal Exhibition Expo 2015 in Milan.
At the 2015 Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), EXIAR hosted the panel sessions “Non-commodity Exports: Made in Russia” and “BRICS Export Credit Agencies: Ways to Enhance Trade and Economic Cooperation”, it signed cooperation agreements with the governments of Astrakhan and Ulyanovsk Regions, and it concluded a buyer credit insurance agreement with Vnesheconombank.
Exports to Uzbekistan, Europe, and CIS countries were insured. EXIAR also insured exports of Russian-made agricultural machinery to Poland, Bulgaria, Latvia, France, Hungary, Lithuania, Estonia, Moldova, Germany, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Kazakhstan.
A joint seminar with the Chinese Export and Credit Insurance Corporation SINOSURE was organized for representatives of Chinese companies and banks registered in Russia.
May – A cooperation agreement was signed with the Export Credit Guarantee Company of Egypt (ECGE).
EXIAR signed its first working capital financing insurance agreement with Sberbank. As part of the agreement, both parties agreed to insure shipments of products from a machine building factory to South Africa.
Working with Eximbank of Russia, EXIAR insured shipments of agricultural machinery to Kazakhstan.
EXIAR sponsored business missions for Russian exporters to Azerbaijan and Egypt.
April- EXIAR’s new Board of Directors was approved by decision of EXIAR’s sole shareholder, the State Corporation “Bank for Development and Foreign Economic Affairs (Vnesheconombank)” from April 27, 2015.
A deal to finance exports of Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ 100) airplanes with EXIAR insurance coverage for Mexican airliner Interjet won GTR’s award for Best Deals of 2014.
EXIAR sponsored a business mission for Russian exporters to Turkey. Cooperation agreements were signed with Atradius Credit Insurance N.V. (Atradius) and MDM Bank. The Agency also conducted its first joint project with Sviaz-Bank.
The Agency insured exports to Belarus and loans made by Russian banks to the Cuban banks Banco Exterior de Cuba, Banco Nacional de Cuba, and Banco Internacional de Commercio S.A.
March – EXIAR’s first regional representative office opened in Vladivostok, located in the Far Eastern Federal District (FEFD). The first business event for exporters in the FEFD was also held
An agreement was signed with Rostov Region and Otkritie FC Bank. EXIAR’s deal to finance the export of Sukhoi Superjet 100 was recognized as one of the best in 2014 (“GTR Best Deals of 2014”) by the Global Trade Review.
The Agency insured exports to Europe, Taiwan, South Korea, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan.
Discussion sessions on “What and How to Sell to Asia?” and “National Export Policy” were organized and held at the Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum.
February – Vnesheconombank’s Supervisory Board approved a long-term strategy for developing the Center for Export Credit and Insurance Support, as well as corresponding corporate strategies for EXIAR and Eximbank of Russia. Approving the strategies for the Center and corporations marks a new step in developing EXIAR into an expert body on financial means of supporting exports.
Beginning February 4, EXIAR transitioned to a new organizational and legal format, with the Agency’s new name being EXIAR, JSC.
EXIAR sponsored a business mission for Russian exporters to India.
January –A cooperation agreement with Novikombank was signed in order maintain small- and medium-sized businesses’ export activities.
As part of its ‘anti-crisis’ plan, the Russian government approved the capital increase of EXIAR’s subsidiary organization, Eximbank of Russia, in 2015.
Former Chairman of the Board and CEO Peter Fradkov was appointed First Deputy Chairman of Vnesheconombank (VEB).
