EXIAR and Japanese–Russian Bank sign cooperation agreement

The Russian Agency for Export Credit and Investment Insurance (EXIAR) and the Japanese–Russian Bank (JR Bank) have signed a cooperation agreement.

The two organisations will work together to develop and implement a joint export financing programme for Russian companies, with insurance coverage provided by EXIAR.

The programme will not only cover lending to export-oriented SMEs, but also producers and manufacturers with an annual trade turnover of up to 2 billion RUB.

"The signing of this agreement with EXIAR will enable JR Bank to better assist its clients engaging in export. We will be able to expand the range of services in line with our clients' needs. In turn, these companies will benefit from even more opportunities to grow their companies", said Oleg Sadovnikov, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board and Key Accounts Supervisor.

JR Bank is a unique Japanese–Russian bank, which has been in operation since 1994. It combines Japanese innovation in the financial services market with 20 years' experience of success in the Russian banking services sector.
In 2011 the bank took a major step forward in its development when it adopted a new strategy. This involved the establishment of a universal bank implementing the latest technology for the benefit of not only corporate clients, but SMEs and individuals.
JR Bank specialises in corporate banking and online retail banking services.
The bank is a member of the deposit insurance scheme, certificate No. 872 dated 26 August 2005.
Bank members: SBI Holdings (Japan) and Metropol (Russia).

Russian Agency for Export Credit and Investment Insurance (EXIAR) was established in 2011 as an open joint-stock company. EXIAR’s mission is to support Russian high-tech exports by insuring export credits against commercial and political risks, as well as Russian investments abroad against political risks. Vnesheconombank is the sole shareholder of EXIAR. The agency's charter capital is RUB 30 billion.
