EXIAR and NEXI held joint work-shop
Russian Agency for Export Credit and Investment Insurance (EXIAR) and Nippon Export and Investment Insurance (NEXI) held joint work-shop for representatives of Japanese companies and banks registered in Russia.
The event was aimed to introduce opportunities of EXIAR and NEXI as they provide joint insurance support and development of export operations of enterprises with Japanese participation registered in Russian Federation.
The representatives of banks and companies from financial services, heavy industry, machinery, electronics and other sectors attended the work-shop.
The event started with opening remarks by Ms. Hanieh Ferdowsi, Managing Director of International Business Development from EXIAR and Mr. Masaru Kanke, Head of Paris office, Chief Representative for Europe, Russia/CIS, Middle East and Africa Region from NEXI.
Mr. Hiroyuki Tanaka, Director of Reinsurance Underwriting Group in his presentation introduced NEXI opportunities for Japanese banks and corporates, as well as EXIAR/NEXI cooperation facility. On behalf of EXIAR Olga Nemudrova, Senior Manager of International Business Development took the stage to present an overview of EXIAR business and its products that could be of high relevance to the work-shop participants.
In April 2013 EXIAR and NEXI officially sealed cooperation efforts by signing Memorandum of cooperation.
The Russian Agency for Export Credit and Investment Insurance (EXIAR) was established in 2011. EXIAR's mission is to support Russian hi-tech exports by insuring export credits against commercial and political risks, as well as Russian investments abroad against political risks. Vnesheconombank is the sole shareholder of EXIAR. The agency's charter capital is RUB 31 billion. The State Specialized Russian Export-Import Bank (Eximbank of Russia) is a subsidiary of EXIAR.
