EXIAR and Saratov region to boost implementation of export projects

Russian Agency for Export Credit and Investment Insurance (EXIAR) and the Government of Saratov region plan to promote cooperation for implementation of foreign trade projects of the region.

The Agreement of Cooperation was signed by Petr Fradkov, CEO, EXIAR and Valeriy Radaev, Governor of Saratov region, within Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum on 23 May.

The agreement aims to establishment of favorable environment for developing foreign economic activity within business community of Saratov region, as well as implementation of joint projects.

The agreement contemplates cooperation in support and development of foreign economic activity of Saratov region, state export support issues, informing Saratov region entrepreneurs looking for export opportunities about instruments and terms of insurance support.

Currently EXIAR has supplied insurance support to Saratov region export projects on exports of power and electrical engineering products, land transport vehicles for a total of RUB 600 million to Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Vietnam.

EXIAR also carries out assessment of Saratov region projects on export of chemicals, land transport vehicles, animal and plant origin products to Argentina, Poland, Switzerland, Estonia, Lithuania, Belarus, Jordan for a total of about RUB 1 billion.    

The Russian Agency for Export Credit and Investment Insurance (EXIAR) was established in 2011 as an open joint-stock company. EXIAR’s mission is to support Russian high-tech exports by insuring export credits against commercial and political risks, as well as Russian investments abroad against political risks. Vnesheconombank is the sole shareholder of EXIAR. The agency's charter capital is RUB 30 billion.
