EXIAR jointly organizes Indonesian Trade mission with Russian Ministry of Economic Development, for Russian companies

On December 2, 2015, Jakarta was the site for a business mission of Russian companies to Indonesia. The mission was put together by the Russian Ministry of Economic Development, Russia’s Trade Representation in Indonesia, the Russian Agency for Export Credit and Investment Insurance (EXIAR), the Russian-Indonesian Business Council, and the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The Russian side was represented by organizations and companies from various industries, including aviation construction, nuclear energy, power engineering machinery, electronics, pharmaceuticals, machinery, medical equipment, and many other organizations.

The mission’s official business program opened with a plenary session, which was opened by Russia’s Ambassador to Indonesia, Mikhail Galuzin, gave opening remarks. Among those participating were Alexander Dianov, the Russian Ministry of Economic Development’s Deputy Director for the Asia, Africa, and Latin America Department; Sergey Rossomakhov, Russia’s Trade Representative to Indonesia; Didie Soewondho, Chairman of the Indonesia-Russia Business Council; Olga Nemudrova, EXIAR’s Acting Director for International Development; Mikhail Kouritsyn, Chairman of the Russia-Indonesia Business Council, as well as members of Russian and Indonesian companies and banks.

The main purpose of the business mission was to explore and discuss the potential areas for developing trade and economic ties between the two countries.

During the event, EXIAR highlighted the significance of the Indonesian market for Russian exports and furthermore emphasized the various benefits that can be provided to Russian exporters by RECs, EXIAR and the overall export support system. 

The business mission was concluded with business-to-business meetings.

The Russian Agency for Export Credit and Investment Insurance (EXIAR) was established in 2011. EXIAR's mission is to support Russian hi-tech exports by insuring export credits against commercial and political risks, as well as Russian investments abroad against political risks. Vnesheconombank is the sole shareholder of EXIAR. The agency's charter capital is RUB 43.5 billion. The State Specialized Russian Export-Import Bank (Eximbank of Russia) is a subsidiary of EXIAR.
