EXIAR participated and acted as a strategic partner in the Exhibition “Trade and Industrial Dialogue: Russia – Iran”
EXIAR participated and acted as a strategic partner of the Russian National Industrial Exhibition “Trade and Industrial Dialogue: Russia – Iran”, that was held on 21-23 December 2015 in Tehran, Islamic Republic of Iran. The event was organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.
This event has been considered as a priority platform to enhancing Russian-Iranian trade and economic relations, representing the biggest Russian delegation of companies and banks visiting Iran. In fact the exhibition showcased and saw the participation of more than 100 Russian companies active in a variety of sectors. The Russian delegation was headed by Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov, and comprised top-managers of major industrial companies of Russia, including United Engine Corporation, AVTOVAZ, KAMAZ, State Atomic Energy Corporation ROSATOM, RUSELPROM Concern, Transmashholding, and others. From EXIAR, Alexey Tyupanov, CEO, and Hanieh Ferdowsi, Managing Director of International Business Development, joined the event.
The Iranian side was represented at high level by Mohammad Reza Nematzadeh, Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade of Iran, Sorena Sattari, Vice President for Science and Technology of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and other highly-ranked Government representatives, along with Iranian companies and banks.
The official business program was highlighted by the Plenary session on Russia - Iran: long-term partnership, prospects and projects. The discussion’s key participants included Valiollah Afkhami-Rad, Deputy Minister for Industry, Mining and Trade of Iran, Denis Manturov, Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia, Alexey Tyupanov, CEO of EXIAR, Oleg Sienko, CEO of UralVagonZavod and Alexander Mikheev, CEO of Russian Helicopters.
Alexey Tyupanov gave high appraisal of potential Russian-Iranian trade and economic cooperation, and highlighted that EXIAR considered Iran among high-priority countries for the Agency.
In the words of Alexey Tyupanov “EXIAR is constantly improving its product line upscaling expertise and developing ties with Russian and foreign partners. In this context, the Agency has accomplished a lot to foster its relations with Iranian partners, developing strong and mutual beneficial business environment between Russian and Iranian companies and banks.”
The event was followed by number of meetings with Russian and Iranian partners to discuss the prospects of cooperation between companies and banks from the two countries.
The Russian Agency for Export Credit and Investment Insurance (EXIAR) was established in 2011. EXIAR's mission is to support Russian hi-tech exports by insuring export credits against commercial and political risks, as well as Russian investments abroad against political risks. EXIAR operates as a part of Russian Export Center Group, which is the sole shareholder of EXIAR. The agency's charter capital is RUB 43.5 billion. The State Specialized Russian Export-Import Bank (Eximbank of Russia) is a subsidiary of EXIAR.
