EXIAR supports exports of Siberian agricultural products
On 24 April 2014, the Russian Agency for Export Credit and Investment Insurance (EXIAR) took part in the Grain Round Table, which took place in Novosibirsk. The title of this year's event was 'Price Trend Scenarios for Grain on the Domestic Market over the Coming Marketing Year'.
The Grain Round Table is an information and discussion platform enabling participants to examine pressing issues related to the current and future state of the grain market. The event also helps maintain existing partnerships in the grain industry, and forge new ones.
Maria Shubina, Customer Relations Manager at EXIAR, participated in a session dedicated to insurance support for exporting agricultural products. Maria spoke on the main export support tools available to agricultural companies, drawing the audience's attention to insurance support mechanisms for grain and oil products shipped to Japan, China and Mongolia – key foreign markets for Siberia.
The event regularly attracts representatives of agricultural and grain processing companies based in Siberia, including the Novosibirsk, Omsk, Tomsk and Kemerovo regions, and Altai and Krasnoyarsk territories.
The Russian Agency for Export Credit and Investment Insurance (EXIAR) was established in 2011 as an open joint-stock company. EXIAR’s mission is to support Russian high-tech exports by insuring export credits against commercial and political risks, as well as Russian investments abroad against political risks. Vnesheconombank is the sole shareholder of EXIAR. The agency's charter capital is RUB 30 billion.
