EXIAR to boost development of foreign economic activity in Omsk region

Russian Agency for Export Credit and Investment Insurance (EXIAR) will support development of foreign economic activity of the Omsk region. The corresponding Agreement was signed by the Agency and the Government of Omsk region on 18 November 2014 in Moscow. 

The Agreement aims at establishment of long-term partnership to create favorable conditions for development of foreign economic activity within the Omsk region business society, including implementation of joint projects. 

According to the Agreement, the Parties will foster cooperation through interaction with regional export support organizations, SMEs and financial institutions, and implement export support projects in the region. 

The foreign trade turnover of Omsk region made up 990.1 million dollars, including its exports of 778.6 million dollars, in 2013. The foreign economic activity participants of Omsk region favor ties with 87 countries. In 2013 the number of foreign economic activity participants grew up to 490 (comparing to 460 in 2012).

The Russian Agency for Export Credit and Investment Insurance (EXIAR) was established in 2011 as an open joint-stock company. EXIAR’s mission is to support Russian high-tech exports by insuring export credits against commercial and political risks, as well as Russian investments abroad against political risks. Vnesheconombank is the sole shareholder of EXIAR. The agency's charter capital is RUB 30 billion.
