Perm entrepreneurs looking for EXIAR support

The measures for state support of Perm entrepreneurs’ foreign economic activity came to the fore of the eponymous conference arranged by Ministry of Economic Development of the Perm region jointly with Perm regional division of OPORA Russia and Russian Agency for Export Credit and Investment Insurance (EXIAR).

According to Leonid Morozov, Minister of Economic Development of the Perm region, the foreign trade volume of the region’s enterprises makes $8 billion. “The Perm region is the territory of export”, - said Minister.

As reported by the Perm Customs, currently the export share in the region equals to 20%. The Perm region cooperates with 130 countries, where first position is held by China (20%), the second – Brazil (11%). The annual growth of foreign economic transactions reaches 5%.

The EXIAR export support instruments were presented by Boris Igoshin, Director for Regional Development. He addressed the audience with the principles of work with various customers, and emphasized Agency’s contribution into development and implementation of the up-to-date financial system for EXIAR covered exports support. “In point of fact this is a new business type for Russia. Agency aims to increase competitiveness of Russian companies. Through insurance support of EXIAR companies can grant delays to foreign customers and receive funding at more favorable terms”, - said Boris.

Dmitriy Sazonov, Chairman of Perm regional division of OPORA Russia, noted that the regional authorities must create the infrastructure for efficient foreign activity and make it accessible to every single entrepreneur.

The Russian Agency for Export Credit and Investment Insurance (EXIAR) was established in 2011 as an open joint-stock company. EXIAR’s mission is to support Russian high-tech exports by insuring export credits against commercial and political risks, as well as Russian investments abroad against political risks. Vnesheconombank is the sole shareholder of EXIAR. The agency's charter capital is RUB 30 billion.
